Singer Finneas claimed to be tear-gassed at Los Angeles ICE protest
Musician and producer Finneas claimed he was tear-gassed by law enforcement during a "peaceful protest" against ICE operations in Los Angeles
Musician and producer Finneas, who was tear-gassed at what he called a "very peaceful protest" in downtown Los Angeles amid escalating tensions involving ICE operations, expressed his dismay on Instagram.
Finneas informed his 4.5 million followers of getting "Tear gassed almost immediately at the very peaceful protest downtown, they're inciting this," reflecting on the tumultuous events sparked by federal immigration crackdowns.
Using his platform, Finneas launched a scathing critique of ICE and their actions, stating through Instagram stories, "Look at the resources they're willing to commit to terrorize people but not feed or house people," sharing filmmaker Dustin Drury's post.

Additionally, Finneas amplified the collective dissent with a stark message on another slide: "FFFFF--CK ICE. F--k off all of you weekend GI Joe losers," branding supporters of these operations as weak and predicting their downfall, echoing comedian Tim Heidecker’s original sentiments.
Finneas echoed calls for National Guard and active-duty military personnel to resist unlawful orders, sharing a hotline for GI Rights. "There is support, you don't have to go through with it," the post read.
Subsequently, he shared a text graphic emphasizing community fears. "LA is afraid right now because their coworkers were kidnapped at work... a bunch of neighbors' parents straight up never came home," the message read.
"Whatever the news tells you in the coming days... they're gonna paint a vision of LA that is much different from that. Don't let them," the post cautioned.
