A new state visit to the United Kingdom by Donald Trump has been scheduled, during which he will meet with King Charles and Queen Camilla.

Buckingham Palace said the visit is set to take place at Windsor Castle from September 17 to September 19. This marks an unprecedented second state visit for the US President, who was previously hosted by Queen Elizabeth II in 2019.

Further details about the three-day visit will be released shortly, with all senior members of the royal family expected to participate.

A group of MPs, including 15 from the Labour Party, signed a motion opposing Trump's potential speech during the state visit. They criticized his stance on the Ukraine-Russia conflict and accused him of "misogyny, racism and xenophobia."

During Trump's previous visit to the UK, thousands of protesters gathered in London's streets to demonstrate against him. Trump responded on social media by calling Sadiq Khan a "stone cold loser."

In February, Sir Keir Starmer presented Trump with a letter from the King inviting him to visit during a meeting at the White House.

As they sat together in the Oval Office, Trump described the invitation as a "great, great honor."

He added, "And that says at Windsor - that's really something."

In April, Trump expressed his admiration for the royal family, stating, "I'm a friend of Charles, I have great respect for King Charles and the family, William. We have really just a great respect for the family."

News has surfaced that Police Scotland are already preparing for Trump's visit, with expectations that he will stop by his golf clubs in Aberdeenshire and Ayrshire.

This follows the recent event where the King welcomed French President Emmanuel Macron and First Lady Brigitte Macron.

The couple was honored with a carriage procession through Windsor, marking the first state visit hosted at the residence in more than 10 years.

The King also made a trip to Canada at the end of May, coinciding with Prime Minister Mark Carney's assumption of leadership.

The Ottawa visit was particularly poignant as it represented Canadian solidarity in the face of Trump's suggestion to annex Canada as the 51st US state.

Regarding Trump's forthcoming state visit, Buckingham Palace announced, "The President of the United States of America, President Donald J. Trump, accompanied by the First Lady Mrs. Melania Trump, has accepted an invitation from His Majesty The King to pay a State Visit to the United Kingdom from 17 September to 19 September 2025.

"His Majesty The King will host The President and Mrs. Trump at Windsor Castle."
