Fox News' Harris Faulkner forced to explain chaotic segment to viewers
The scene outside the Oval Office was chaotic after Donald Trump met with Mark Rutte to announce an ultimatum placed on Russia over the war in Ukraine
There was a chaotic scene inside the Oval Office on Monday morning after Donald Trump's meeting with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte wrapped up.
Fox News cameras panned to reporters piling out of the White House after the meeting, which was broadcast live, prompting anchor Harris Faulkner to explain the commotion to viewers.
During the bombshell conference, President Trump said billions of dollars worth of U.S. weaponry would be purchased from allied countries like Germany, Finland, and Denmark, to be "quickly distributed" to Ukraine amidst the ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine. He also threatened Vladimir Putin directly, giving the Russian leader an ultimatum.

Trump, who has boasted about his friendship with Putin in the past, is now giving the Kremlin less than two months to end the war with Ukraine. "We're going to be doing very severe tariffs if we don't have a deal in 50 days," the President said, though he did not go into specifics about how the duties will be implemented.
"I use trade for a lot of things," Trump added, "But it's great for settling wars."
After the meeting, Fox News cameras captured a chaotic scene at the Oval Office, with droves of reporters gathered near the exit. The broadcast cut back to Harris, reporting in the studio, who explained what was happening at the White House.
"We sometimes will pause for just a moment if the President of the United States should want to answer a last stray question," the broadcaster clarified.
"That [press conference] was really groundshaking and you heard the NATO secretary general Mark Rutte there saying 'Putin should be worried.' That he should be paying more attention to President Trump than what he was paying before."

The announcement prompted fears of a potential World War 3 scenario, as tensions rise between Russia and the US.
As hopes for a ceasefire diminish, Trump announced, "We made a deal today where we are going to be sending them weapons and they're gonna be paying for them," adding, "The United States will not be having any payment made. We're not buying it but we will manufacture it and they will be paying for it."
The ultimate coupled with the weapons deal may escalate tensions between nations as Russia enters its third year at war with Ukraine after invading the country in 2022.
