Gwyneth Paltrow reveals she 'doesn't want to exercise'

Gwyneth Paltrow’s daughter, Apple Martin has rebelled against her mom's strict food rules during a outing at the weekend.

The Hollywood star, 52, avoids processed foods, dairy, sugar, and salt - but her 21-year-old student daughter was seen getting takeout from an Italian restaurant in East Hampton, New York - suggesting she does not share her mom's wellness views.

Apple's choice of an unhealthy meal, which included two pizzas that were topped with zucchini and rosemary. Her outing comes after her mom was spotted eating a $35 wagyu French dip in November after facing criticism for discussing her restrictive eating habits.

Paltrow, 52, revealed on an episode of her podcast in April that she was "a little bit" sick of the ultra-strict Paleo diet she had been following for years and "eating very very healthily."

The Oscar winner said she had started scoffing "a little pasta" as well as other foods she previously steered clear of such as sourdough bread and cheese.

In 2022, Paltrow said her daughter and son, Moses, 19, had their own views on health and wellness and she would try not to impose hers on them.

She told E! News, "He's 16 and he will barely let me give him a vitamin... so it's also like, knowing when to relent and give him his space.

"I try not to force anything on them. They were raised in an environment where wellness is important and they will adopt what they choose to, or not. They have free will."

She also told how she did not expect her kids to eat clean all the time, saying, "My philosophy is in the house I try to have healthier things around.

"But they have free will and when they're out of the house, I'm sure they go for the Oreos and the McNuggets. More power to them."

She also explained that when they were younger, she attempted to make her kids stick to a low-carb, gluten-free diet.

The actress said in a 2013 Goop newsletter, "I tried to start them off with all of the right foods, but as they got older, the lure of Oreos and cotton candy outweighed the lure of carrots with hummus. And that's all a part of childhood and I love Oreos too, so I completely understand."

She added that she tried to "make sure that what is on their plate at home is nutritious and tasty" but had a more carefree attitude to what they consumed when the family was eating out.

Paltrow said, "They love a brown rice stir-fry, but they also love their Coke of the week. My daughter gravitates toward fresh fruit and raw nuts but will inhale a bag of hot Cheetos at the airport. It's all about balance."

In April, Apple told Interview that she loves to cook, saying, "Oh my god, this is my favorite part about living alone in an apartment, is that I get to cook all the time. I make phenomenal garlic bread. Out of this world. I also love making Caesar salad, but from scratch—dressing and croutons."

Apple often takes part in Tracy Anderson's high-intensity dance workouts and aerobics classes, just like her mom.
