Katy Perry fans terrified as she drops above the crowd in dangerous concert malfunction
A heart-stopping moment at Katy Perry's concert had fans on edge as the pop star's show featured a jaw-dropping incident that no one saw coming.
Fans are expressing concern for Katy Perry following a dramatic incident during one of her recent performances.
The 40-year-old pop icon, currently on her The Lifetimes Tour, where she is performing across the globe until October 2025. However, it was her show in San Francisco that made headlines after a stage prop malfunctioned in front of thousands.
During her performance, Perry appeared riding a giant butterfly prop suspended above the crowd.

The spectacle took a shocking turn when the prop suddenly dropped, causing a visible jolt as it descended rapidly.
Despite the scare, the singer quickly regained her composure and continued singing her 2013 hit Roar without missing a beat.

Katy soon received an outpouring of positive support from her fans.
Many of them later shared videos of the moment on social media, with one commenting, “I thought it was part of the show cause she kept singing and going!”
Some people were even quick to compare the moment to a similar stage incident Beyoncé experienced in Houston not long ago.

Another viewer remarked, “That butterfly almost turned into a nightmare.”
A concerned fan questioned the need for such theatrics, writing, “Why do they keep doing dangerous stunts like this?”
However, others praised Perry for nailing her performance. One fan quipped, “She said the singing shouldn’t stop, which the audience paid for!!! handled it so well.”
The on-stage scare comes shortly after the star confirmed long-standing rumors about her relationship with actor Orlando Bloom.
The couple, who began dating in 2016 and briefly separated in 2017 before rekindling their romance, got engaged in early 2019. They are parents to their four-year-old daughter Daisy.
In a joint statement shared with U.S. media outlets, representatives for both Perry and Bloom stated that the two have “been shifting their relationship over the past many months to focus on co-parenting.”
The message went on to say, “They will continue to be seen together as a family, as their shared priority is – and always will be – raising their daughter with love, stability and mutual respect.”
