Jeremiah Brown is owning up to his mistakes after his turbulent departure from Love Island USA.

The 25-year-old contestant was dumped from the Peacock show on June 22 following a dramatic fallout with his original partner, Huda Mustafa, and a string of rocky recouplings.

Brown, who had been coupled with Huda since Day 1, decided to pivot toward newcomer Iris Kendall.

He then started feeling a spark with bombshell Adreina Santos, but the connection was cut short when the other male islanders voted him off the show.

“That felt like betrayal,” Brown told People, reflecting on the blindside. But the bigger regret, he says, lies in how he handled things with Huda.

“There’s three things I really regret,” Brown admitted.

“First, getting intimate so soon, so fast. We skipped a lot of steps. That threw her headspace into thinking we were already in a relationship. I was just trying to enjoy being coupled up.”

His second regret? Oversharing.

“She asked me, ‘Who are you in a relationship?’ and I answered with everything I did in my last one,” he said.

“She expected that the next day. I messed up. I shouldn’t have said all those cute things so soon.”

The third, and perhaps most crucial, was not speaking up when things moved too quickly.

“I was overwhelmed, but instead of saying it, I tried to be Superman,” he said.

“I thought, ‘She deserves this,’ so I tried to do everything all at once. But outside the villa, it takes me months to get to that point with someone.”

Despite the fallout, Brown doesn’t place all the blame on Huda.

“I should have nipped it in the bud and I didn’t,” he said. “I can definitely own that.”

However, he bristles at the notion that she’s become the season’s villain.

“It doesn’t bring me any joy,” he said.

“But she did say some things, about me, to me, that weren’t okay. Yeah, it hurt. I really cared about her.”
