The FDA has issued a recall for more than 67,000 cases of Power Stick deodorant that were distributed through major retailers including Walmart and Amazon.

The recall encompasses three varieties of Power Stick deodorant due to "cGMP deviations," indicating the products failed to comply with Food and Drug Administration manufacturing standards.

According to an FDA enforcement report, manufacturer A. P. Deauville launched the recall on July 10, affecting 67,214 cases of Power Stick products.

The recalled items include Power Stick for Her roll-on Antiperspirant Deodorant Powder Fresh, Power Stick Invisible Protection Roll-On Antiperspirant Deodorant Spring Fresh and Power Stick Original Nourishing Invisible Protection Roll-On Antiperspirant Deodorant, reports the Irish Star.

This recall follows two other significant product withdrawals that occurred within the past week.

The affected antiperspirants were sold nationwide through Walmart, Amazon and Dollar Tree stores.

A. P. Deauville, which also produces shampoo, conditioner, lotion, body wash and facial wipes, claims on its website that it manufactures its antiperspirant deodorants at an "FDA-regulated" facility in Pennsylvania.

This recall comes on the heels of two major product withdrawals involving Walmart merchandise over the past seven days.

The first involved The Ozark Trail 64 oz Stainless Steel Insulated Water Bottles, which were pulled from store shelves following numerous reports of the lid causing severe injuries to users.

According to reports, the bottle's lid can "forcefully eject" without warning and strike consumers, resulting in permanent vision loss for two individuals so far. Walmart was also compelled to issue an immediate recall on bread sold in its stores.

Six batches of Lewis Bake Shop Artisan Style 1/2 Loaf, produced by Hartford Bakery Inc. , were removed from shelves after the product was discovered to contain undisclosed hazelnuts, as per the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

These unfortunate recalls occurred just before the retail behemoth announced plans to lay off hundreds of employees from support roles within the company.

Walmart is doing away with the market coordinator role that aids some managers, according to a recent report. These coordinators hold corporate positions, assisting market managers who oversee approximately a dozen store managers each.

It's also reported that Walmart will be eliminating some coach and coordinator roles at Walmart Academy, which provides training for store employees and managers. This move underscores Walmart's ongoing efforts to streamline its operations.
