U.S. Open champion's wife set to inherit huge family fortune from dad

Former U.S. Open champion Dustin Johnson has raked in a fortune from his golf career...and his wife is also set to inherit a hefty sum. That is after overcoming a freak bedroom injury, of course.
Johnson, who once held the world No. 1 spot, has two major championships under his belt, having won the U.S. Open in 2016 and the Masters in 2020. The 40-year-old is aiming for a second U.S. Open victory this week as the tournament kicks off at Oakmont Country Club on Thursday.
As per National Club Golfer, Johnson, who was named LIV Golf Individual Champion in 2022, has pocketed $57.7M since joining the breakaway league in 2022. This figure doesn't include the $75.5M that Johnson has earned on the PGA Tour.

Meanwhile, his wife Paulina, who recently posed with Johnson for a photoshoot ahead of the U.S. Open, is no stranger to sports wealth as the daughter of NHL legend Wayne Gretzky.

The couple first crossed paths in 2009 but didn't start dating until four years later. They got engaged just seven months into their relationship but waited until April 2022 to officially say "I do" at Blackberry Farm in Tennessee.
Johnson and Gretzky, 36, are parents to two sons. Their eldest son, Tatum, was born in 2015, followed by their second son, River, two years later.

The sprawling 7,169 sqft property boasts five bedrooms, six bathrooms, an elevator, swimming pool, and private dock, nestled near the Harbor Isles community.
Sportskeeda has reported that Gretzky purchased the house for $4.5M, netting his son-in-law Johnson a tidy profit of $1.6M from his 2015 purchase price. The Gretzkys also own another property in Palm Beach County, Florida, having acquired an Alton Community townhouse for $1.58M in October 2021.
Born and raised in Brantford, Ontario, Gretzky still owns his childhood home. In 2012, Gretzky and his wife added to their real estate portfolio with a home in the Frontenac neighborhood of St Louis, Missouri, bought to assist in caring for relatives on Jones' side of the family.
The fifth property in Gretzky's collection is a lakehouse in McCall, Idaho, complete with its own private dock and mountain views.
However, he no longer holds the keys to the luxury home in Thousand Oaks, California, once known as 'Gretzky Mansion'. Wayne Gretzky's Custom Boat
In addition to her father's impressive array of properties, Paulina may one day inherit the custom-built Steinway 340 HT powerboat that her parents purchased in September 2021. This 34-foot mahogany vessel, capable of reaching speeds up to 50mph, was bought while Gretzky was residing at their Idaho lakehouse.
Essentially Sports reported that Gretzky shelled out $900k for Couer Customs to design the boat, which proudly sports a Canadian flag at the stern.
"We literally had a couple of days enjoying the boat before we left town. But we're heading back next week, the boat goes back in the water, and then we'll have the entire summer on the lake to have fun," Gretzky revealed to Robb Report in June 2022.
"The boatyard told me it would go fast, but to tell you the truth, I'm not too bothered about that," Gretzky admitted. "I was relatively fast when I skated, but these days I drive my car slow. I'm happy to drive my boat slow. I'll take comfort over speed any day.
"She's the creative one in the family; the only thing I asked for was to have a Canadian flag at the back," he shared.
