Stephen King mocks Jeffrey Epstein 'client list' conspiracy amid FBI denials
Stephen King has once again sparked anger online after he joked about the conspiracy theories that have been swirling around disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein
Stephen King has stirred the pot with his recent remarks about the controversial Jeffrey Epstein list.
The buzz around the Department of Justice and FBI's memo, which declared Jeffrey Epstein's death a suicide amidst swirling conspiracy theories of foul play, has been intense. The memo also refuted claims of an existing "list" of Epstein's high-profile associates, countering Attorney General Pam Bondi's earlier assertion that such a list was under her review.
Moreover, the memo stated that releasing any more of Epstein's files or materials wouldn't be proper or necessary. President Donald Trump expressed bewilderment over the public's fascination with the case, stating, "I don't understand why the Jeffrey Epstein case would be of interest to anybody."

On July 15, King took to X, the platform formerly known as Twitter, to voice his opinion on the rumored client list. "The Epstein client list is real. So is the Tooth Fairy and Santa Claus," the famed author of Pet Sematary tweeted.
King's tweet ignited a firestorm among other users on the social media platform. One user questioned his motives, asking, "Why would you post this, what did you possibly hope to gain from this take," while another expressed their displeasure, saying, "I don't like this tweet. Which side on you Stephen," reports the Mirror US.
Later the same day, King returned to X to comment on the reaction to his initial post. He quipped, "Boy, I hit a nerve with that Epstein post. [sideways laughing emoji] The 'list' is like UFOs: Everyone knows someone who's seen one. [sideways laughing emoji]."
King has previously weighed in on the notorious financier, with social media users unearthing an older 2019 comment from King about Epstein's demise.

"A lot of powerful people are breathing sighs of relief over Epstein's 'suicide,'" he penned following Epstein's death in prison during August 2019.
The famed horror novelist hasn't shied away from expressing his aversion to Trump either. In a tweet last month, King declared, "Deep down in his heart, I believe Trump knows he's an incompetent a--hole."
His antipathy towards the former president dates back even before the 2016 election, as evidenced by King's words: "My newest horror story: Once upon a time there was a man named Donald Trump, and he ran for president. Some people wanted him to win."
