The View abruptly thrown off air as Javier Bardem unleashes into anti-Israel rant
The View was forced to cut to a commercial break on Monday as a passionate Javier Bardem unleashed an anti-Israel tirade - leaving viewers divided.
Monday's episode of The View took a heated turn, seemingly prompting the ABC talk show to abruptly cut to a commercial break.
The long-standing program welcomed Hollywood star Javier Bardem to the panel, and things quickly escalated when he expressed that he "suffers on a daily basis" for the people of Gaza, accusing Israel of committing "genocide".
The subject arose while the James Bond actor was conversing with conservative panelists Alyssa Farah Griffin and Sara Haines, who wear yellow pins daily in solidarity with Israeli hostages held in Gaza. "I see your [pins] and, of course, they have to return those hostages, obviously," Javier noted.

"But the situation in Gaza has come to a term now where I cannot express the pain that I, along with many millions of people there, suffer on a daily basis watching those horrible images of children being murdered and starving to death," he added.
Bardem then made his case for Israel committing "genocide", citing his belief that international law and human rights experts, and even Holocaust survivors, agree with him.
"First of all, because the impunity that is taking Israel in doing these actions, and the lack of action on any government of course the back up of the United States with all those weapons and the economics, and also the silence of Europe, is creating a scenario where there is such impunity that if we really don't do something about that we are going towards, well, what is happening now," he declared.
As Javier persisted with his impassioned speech, host Whoopi Goldberg's attempts to interrupt in the background grew louder in a bid to transition to a commercial break, but the Oscar-winning actor refused to be silenced.
"And also, with this I will finish, the most important thing is to not lose the humanity and really denounce when we have to denounce and who we have to denounce," he pressed on.
The show abruptly cut back to Whoopi, who firmly intervened with a stern "Javier, come back." The ABC program swiftly segued into a commercial break, accompanied by muted applause from the audience.

Following the broadcast, viewers took to social media to express their outrage over The View's decision to cut Javier short. X user @kenzvanunu lambasted the show, saying: "Javier Bardem speaking at length on the view about palestine (so eloquently and truthfully) and is then cut off.... i'm surprised they let him say so much honestly."
Left-wing YouTube channel The Serfs praised the actor's comments while mocking the liberal ABC show for silencing him, stating: "Javier Bardem went so hard on the genocide of Palestinians that the View had to cut to commercial break."
According to a source at the show, the decision to cut Javier off was due to time constraints, with the panel and producers needing to take a break.
However, a second individual, @NickFondacaro, countered with a differing opinion: "Again, The View becomes a hot bed for political hatred and antisemitism.
"Actor Javier Bardem claims he's suffering as much as the people in Gaza as he parrots Hamas propaganda: 'I cannot express the pain that I, along with many millions of people there suffer on a daily basis...If you ask me I believe it's a genocide,'" they added.
One disgruntled viewer fired back at Javier's opinions: "English is Javier Bardem's second language, stupid is his first," while another X user @wolfsbane_siren added: "You can't be this brainwashed, no one can!".
Despite the backlash, Bardem didn't shy away from making similar comments at the premiere of his latest film, F1, later that evening.
"Thousands of children are dying... It's a genocide happening before our eyes. The American support has to stop," he declared at the New York City premiere.
His comments echo sentiments expressed by some far-left and mainstream Democrats who have accused Israelis of committing genocide in their response to the October 7, 2023 Hamas terror attack on an Israeli music festival.
