Three weeks into Bachelor in Paradise Season 10 and fans have already been treated to tons of juicy drama, but most of it has come from former couple Justin Glaze and Susie Evans's awkward reunion.
Susie's unexpected entrance into paradise during Week 2 flipped things upside down for Justin, who was getting close to Lexi Young, and it quickly became clear that neither of them seemed to be over their relationship.
The episode of the hit ABC show ended in a cliffhanger after a major bombshell moment saw Justin offer his rose to his former girlfriend instead of Lexi. Things took another turn when she declined it before walking off. Things were left up in the air when Justin walked off and Lexi self-eliminated.

In Week 3, Justin chose to leave, but not without sending host Jesse Palmer to hand out his rose as a sign of friendship. With all three contestants in the tense love triangle gone, Jill accepted her "pity" rose.
All the drama has stirred up interest in Justin and Susie, who had a long history, but what exactly happened between them?

Justin was the runner-up on Katie Thurston’s season 17 of The Bachelorette in summer 2021, while Susie won Clayton Echard’s season 26 of The Bachelor in 2022, though she famously rejected his proposal. The pair of recently reunited lovers never crossed paths on-screen.
According to UsWeekly, Susie and Justin first “connected over a vlog in winter 2022,” so a year before things took a romantic turn, the Bachelor Nation alums were friends.
When Susie helped Justin film an ad-turned-blog collaboration, which featured the pair answering questions about their love lives and dating situations, fans wondered if they were together, but rumors were initially shut down.
In an interview with E! News, Justin confirmed that he and Susie shared a kiss in October 2023 and decided to explore their romantic connection. In January 2024, Susie confirmed Justin was her boyfriend.
In August 2024, Justin confirmed that he and Susie called it quits on the Almost Famous podcast, explaining, “Susie and I, we’re not together… We are doing our best to — kind of, like I said — protect each other, keep things private as we try to navigate what this looks like for us.”

That said, the exes were spotted together in September 2024 and in December, Susie confirmed that she and Justin were “working on things.”
“We are working on things, and seeing if it makes sense for us and taking things slow, taking things privately,” Evans said of her and Glaze. “[We are] just kind of seeing what really makes sense for us.”
Evans added that it’s been “cool” that they “have been able to maintain a very positive friendship” since their breakup. While she is “grateful” to still remain on good terms with Glaze friendship-wise, she shared the pair’s next steps included figuring out if their romantic connection has longevity.
“I think a big thing in life is compatibility,” she explained. “We’re just at points in our life where we have to figure out if we are compatible.”
Obviously, the pair did not get back together and Justin was later confirmed as one of the contestants of Bachelor in Paradise Season 10.
During Justin’s first date with Lexi, he brought Susie up and explained they were best friends for a year, then dated for a year and recently broke up.
When Susie arrived, she told cameras that she and Justin broke up about four months before this season was filmed, but neither seemed to be over their relationship.
In a confessional, Susie told the cameras that she felt like she came in at "a terrible time" and that it was hard for them individually and also for the people who might be interested in them.
Susie then had a tense conversation with Justin, saying she didn't want anyone to "feel uncomfortable" about their past relationship.
Now, Justin has admitted he had "no regrets" about his decision to give his rose to Susie, admitting on the July 15 episode of the Bachelor Happy Hour podcast, "I feel bad for how that all went down. I mean, I stand by the choice that I made. I don’t have any regrets about it, but I do feel bad, and I do wish that we could have had a conversation beforehand. … We weren’t allowed to."
“Initially I had no clue [why Susie declined the rose] because I thought that it was clear as day to me where my intentions were and what I was trying to do by offering that up,” he explained.
“I was really, really taken aback. I remember just like I kind of blacked out, like I just felt numb after that and just wanted to, like, escape. I just wanted to disappear. It was just such a hard feeling to describe.”
He explained, “I have to put myself in her shoes, like, ‘Oh, she’s probably expecting me to give this rose to Lexi, right?’ If I know Susie, of course, here I am trying to do something selfless for someone who is selfless."
