Trump asks Pam Bondi for ‘pertinent’ files amid Epstein backlash
President Donald Trump has requested that Attorney General Pam Bondi release "any and all" grand jury testimony related to the sex trafficking case against Jeffrey Epstein
Facing mounting pressure from his supporter base, President Donald Trump has directed Attorney General Pam Bondi to disclose "any and all" grand jury testimony connected to the sex trafficking case involving Jeffrey Epstein.
"Based on the ridiculous amount of publicity given to Jeffrey Epstein, I have asked Attorney General Pam Bondi to produce any and all pertinent Grand Jury testimony, subject to court approval. This SCAM perpetrated by the Democrats should end, right now!" Trump posted on Truth Social Thursday night.
Bondi swiftly responded to Trump's directive, posting on X: "President Trump-we are ready to move the court tomorrow to unseal the grand jury transcripts."

What details might emerge from any unsealed grand jury testimony remains uncertain at this point, though Trump has been eager to close the chapter on the Epstein matter following the Department of Justice's statement last week in an unsigned memo that no alleged Epstein "client list" exists. The memo also indicated the DOJ would not be releasing any additional evidence in the sex trafficking case against Epstein.
Trump on Wednesday attacked many of his supporters who have refused to drop the matter, calling them "weaklings" and saying they are falling for what he is now calling the Epstein "hoax."
"Their new SCAM is what we will forever call the Jeffrey Epstein Hoax, and my PAST supporters have bought into this 'bull--,' hook, line, and sinker," Trump vented on Wednesday via his Truth Social platform, employing an expletive in his message.
"They haven't learned their lesson, and probably never will, even after being conned by the Lunatic Left for 8 long years.
DON'T MISS...
"Let these weaklings continue forward and do the Democrats work, don't even think about talking of our incredible and unprecedented success, because I don't want their support anymore!" he continued.
Despite Trump's claims, there's no substantiated evidence that former Democratic officials interfered with the documents or had any involvement in spreading conspiracies about the files, which were hyped by members of Trump's own administration for an extended period.
Trump's comments represent an unprecedented tone of criticism towards his own followers. Although Trump has occasionally diverged from his base on certain issues, it has never been with such intensity.
The rift revolves around how the administration managed documents concerning Epstein, who was discovered deceased in his New York jail cell in August 2019, shortly after being apprehended on sex trafficking charges. Bondi, upon assuming her role, had stated that the "client list" was "on her desk," a statement that has likely fueled the targeted resentment towards her over the controversial unsigned memo.
